British Prince William Is to Get Married——Enterprises Are Busy Producing Wedding Souvenirs in Yiwu China

Prince William is the eldest son of British Crown Prince Charles. He and his girlfriend Kate have fell in love for eight years and were finally engaged in October this year when they were on holiday in Kenya. The wedding is expected to be held in next spring or summer in London. Experts predict this royal wedding may become a business event with huge potential as if injecting a stimulant into the British economy. British tourism industry forecasts that this wedding may bring a revenue of 750 million pounds for the British tourism industry.
Retailers around the world acted without delay upon hearing the bombing news and were ready to make sales plan. Souvenirs manufacturers also went into action. Cups, saucers, T-shirts, key chains, pins printed with the couple began to flood into the market. The ring that William used to propose marriage is copied in a great mass. Yang Beibei said the world-famous Yiwu market is no doubt the retailers’ preferred souvenir sourcing base. British retailers particularly found Yiwu enterprises to place orders through the Internet or other means.

Oscar Tao, head of the company, said their UK clients have placed orders for wedding souvenirs since the engagement of Prince William. Sales manager of Yiwu Rananim Jewelry Manufactory Fu Xuxian said the British customers found them through Alibaba and were ready to place a number of orders for the Prince’s wedding souvenirs. Currently the factory is investing and developing some related molds, and once the orders are determined, it can go into production.
